Baby and the Brain is comprised of Jo Mackenzie (producer and songwriter) and Dia Jane (singer/songwriter), who met at an open mic in Kansas City, Missouri, when Jo was in 8th grade and Dia was in 10th grade. Three years later, the two reconnected to start a musical project together that eventually turned into Baby and the Brain, a self-produced indie-pop band.
